History Cover Teacher – Secondary Schools Near You

Pay: £130–£150 per day for day-to-day, pay to scale for long-term (M1–M6)
Contract: Day-to-day and long-term available
Start date: As soon as you’re cleared to work, around 30 days

Protocol Education are recruiting qualified History Teachers to support secondary schools across North Somerset. You’ll step into lessons with pre-set plans
, keeping learning purposeful and engaging while enjoying real flexibility.

This role is ideal for teachers who love bringing the past to life, without the marking pile following them home.

• Teaching KS3 and KS4 History using pre-planned lessons
• Encouraging discussion, curiosity and critical thinking
• Managing behaviour with calm authority
• Supporting pupils to stay focused and engaged
• Feeding back to the class teacher

• UK QTS
• Experience teaching History in UK secondary schools
• Confident classroom presence
• Positive and adaptable attitude
