About the Role
Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher with a passion for supporting young people with additional needs? We are working with an independent specialist day school, catering for students aged 6-19 with high-functioning autistic spectrum disorder and social, emotional, and communication needs. The cover will be required immediately until the end of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Maths across KS3-KS4, differentiating effectively for a range of abilities.
Support pupils with high-functioning ASD and associated SEN needs, using tailored strategies to enable engagement and success.
Work closely with support staff, therapists, and the wider school team to create a consistent and positive learning environment.
Assess, monitor, and record progress in line with school policies.
Contribute to the holistic development and wellbeing of every pupil.
Person Specification
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
Experience working in SEN settings, particularly with autistic learners, is highly desirable.
Creative, patient, resilient, and committed to inclusive practice.
Able to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
