Protocol Education working with an ambitious secondary school in South Bristol that’s looking for a Secondary Teacher of Science (with Qualified Teacher Status in the UK) who can make lessons engaging, practical, and accessible for students of all abilities. You will be working with a friendly, supportive department who value what you bring. You must have valid UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) to apply, or be completing your PGCE / Teacher Training to gain QTS ready for a September start.
This is a full-time opportunity with the chance to go permanent after 15 weeks, ideal for someone looking for a school where they can feel supported, valued, and part of a strong department.
The Role
You’ll be teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, delivering lessons that build curiosity, confidence, and a real understanding of the world around us. Whether your specialism is Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, the school is looking for someone who can bring energy and enthusiasm into the classroom.
The department is collaborative and well-organised, with shared planning, supportive leadership, and a real focus on staff development. You’ll also take on Form Tutor responsibilities and become part of the wider school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
