Description:

Facilitators arrive before assigned classes are available throughout the classes and stay until all students depart the classroom. Facilitators are responsible for readying and monitoring Connect (Zoom classroom) technology for instruction including working with the WKU IT Help Desk to solve any problems that arise. The position is responsible for routine communication with the instructor of record (faculty) who will be in a different WKU location via email phone and Zoom technology.

Facilitators may also answers phones for the campus and greet all campus visitors. The position is responsible for classroom closing procedures.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide support and assistance to Connect course students and facilitators including arriving at assigned Connect courses 30 minutes before class time having all equipment operational by beginning of classes
• Troubleshooting equipment and work through problems with WKU IT Help Desk staff
• Assists instructors with classroom assignments copying and distributing materials accepting student work and sending it to correct location and proctoring exams.
• Secure and straighten all classrooms after vacated and close and secure the building when all evening classes have ended
• Greet all WKU students staff faculty and other members of the community upon entry to the campus
• Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the proper resource
• Assists with office duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED
• Understanding and comfort with technology
• Communication and customer service skills
• Willingness to work evenings and some weekends and ability to work alone at times

Hourly Rate: $13.00
