Location: Long Ashton

1x Part Time - 14.8 hrs per week, Fixed Term. A fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated arboricultural professional to join our tree and woodland team and make a real difference for people and nature in Bristol.

What will I be doing?

As part of an experienced and well-established team you will be responsible for the risk management of Bristol City Council’s tree population within parks, open spaces and highways. You will provide expert and specialist arboricultural services, including advice to other Council departments and external partners, ensuring technical information is accessible to non-specialist audiences. You will also manage the consultation and engagement processes relating to tree management activities.

What

do I need to have?

You will have a minimum Level 4 qualification in Arboriculture. You will make decisions regarding the risk management of trees informed by industry practices, QTRA and relevant British Standards. You must be familiar with commissioning and contracting works and be willing to pursue training if you do not hold a QTRA qualification. Excellent communication skills are required, as is the ability to develop positive working relationships with stakeholders, colleagues and tree contractors.

You must be motivated, able to work independently and capable of planning and prioritising your work.
