As a face‑to‑face interpreter, you will deliver vital language interpretation services to a range of organisations, particularly within the Health and Social Care sectors. Your assignments may include supporting individuals accessing services through the NHS, local councils, charities and private businesses.

Please note: This role involves regular travel within and around the Somerset area.

Yeovil, Bridgwater, Taunton, Bath, Frome, Wells

Languages we are recruiting for include, but are not limited to:

• Amharic
• Cantonese
• Kurdish
• Pashto
• Polish
• Portuguese
• Somali
• Tamil
• Tetum
• Turkish
• Ukrainian
• Vietnamese

Additionally, we welcome British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters – both Registered Sign Language Interpreters (RSLI) and Trainee Sign Language Interpreters (TSLI) are encouraged to apply.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

• Excellent communication skills in both English and the additional language
• Strong organisational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple assignments
• Professionalism and enthusiasm, with a respectful and empathetic approach
• Confidence interpreting across various environments (medical, social care, and community‑based settings)
• Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child and Adult Workforce, with both Barred Lists). If you do not already hold one, we can assist you in completing your DBS application
• Eligibility for self‑employment in the UK

Please note: This is a self‑employed position, and you’ll be responsible for your own tax registration with HMRC.
