Overview
ROTH and Missing - Team Manager role for North Somerset Council. This position involves managing a multi-disciplinary team and working at operational and strategic levels in partnership with other professionals to implement and develop ROTH services for children across North Somerset. The aim is to ensure a strong and effective response to children missing and those at risk of contextual harm, with efficient deployment of resources according to need and management of associated budgets as required.
Responsibilities- Coordinate, develop and plan services to children, young people and their parents/carers delivered across the local authorities within the Avon and Somerset Police area to reduce risk outside the family home and improve life chances.
- Lead the implementation of Risk Outside the Home (ROTH) and contextual safeguarding responses across North Somerset, including workforce development and partnership-based responses to risk outside the home.
- Manage and review contracts, grants and bids for commissioning services or funding in support of identified service provision; work with partners and stakeholders to design, manage and deliver services against agreed priorities.
- Research, develop and recommend strategies for improved service delivery and ensure objectives are reflected in service and individual plans.
- Represent Children’s Services at professional meetings, building and maintaining effective working relationships to achieve improved outcomes for children and young people and the council’s objectives.
- A relevant Social Work Qualification.
- Registration with Social Care Wales or Social Work England.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for a DBS.
- 3 years of referencing.
- Driving licence with access to a car.
- 20 years’ experience of the Social Work market
