We have an exciting opportunity to join a globally recognised engineering-led manufacturer specialising in high-reliability battery and power solutions. With over 30 years’ experience and operations across the UK and US, this business designs and delivers custom battery packs and power systems for some of the most demanding environments—supporting sectors such as oil & gas, defence, robotics, and harsh-environment industrial applications.
Known for their technical expertise, quality standards, and ability to deliver mission‑critical solutions, this company continues to invest in growth, innovation, and long‑term customer partnerships.
They are now looking to appoint an Internal Account Manager to support and develop key customers within the Oil & Gas sector. This is a relationship‑focused, office‑based role where you will take ownership of existing accounts, build strong partnerships, support ongoing requirements, and identify opportunities to grow revenue. It’s an ideal position for someone who enjoys working closely with customers, thrives in a technical environment, and wants to be part of a business where engineering excellence and customer service go hand in hand.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the main point of contact for key Oil & Gas customers, building and maintaining strong, long‑term relationships.
- Manage opportunities end‑to‑end, from initial enquiry through to order placement and ongoing account support.
- Maintain an accurate rolling 12‑month sales forecast and ensure all CRM data is up to date.
- Proactively engage with customers to generate RFQs and secure repeat business, working closely with engineering and internal teams to deliver commercially viable solutions.
- Identify and develop opportunities to increase customer spend, including new design wins and business transfer.
- Occasional travel will be required to support customer engagement.
- Proven account management experience, ideally within a technical or manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Commercial awareness and capable of forecasting.
- A proactive, organised, and customer‑focused approach.
- Interest in battery technology.
- Experience working with Oil & Gas customers is preferable.
