Retail Security Officer - Lidl Crewkerne

Location: Crewkerne (TA18 7LU
)

Position: 30 hours per week, overtime available for holiday/absence cover

Pay: £14.30 per hour

Shifts: Day shifts on 4 on 4 off basis (Up to 12 hour a day between 8am – 10pm Monday – Saturday, 9am – 4pm on Sundays)

Mitie offers a Retail Security Officer role at our Lidl Crewkerne Store. The role requires full training and a quality induction. You will act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor, detain offenders, utilise store security systems, collaborate with covert security operatives, investigate losses, complete incident reports, conduct routine patrols, record patrols, provide security updates, conduct shift handovers, and maintain a safe environment.

• Act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor
• Safely detain offenders following H&S training
• Utilise store security systems, including CCTV and EAS gates
• Collaborate with covert security operatives
• Investigate losses and support inquiries about known offenders
• Complete accurate incident reports and company documentation
• Report crime incidents using a company‑provided tablet
• Conduct routine patrols to ensure customer safety
• Record patrols in daily activity sheets
• Provide security updates during store briefings
• Conduct shift handovers to ensure service continuity
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all

• Door Supervision or Security Guarding Licence
• Five‑year checkable employment history or documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self‑employment, or education

• Previous experience in a retail security role
