We are searching for an Area Swim Manager to lead and inspire our swimming programs across the South Somerset contract. The Area Swim Manager will have overall responsibility for our pool programmes and swim schools at Chard Leisure Centre, Golden stones Leisure Centre and Wincanton Sports Centre. Your role will blend Swim Program Management and Swim Teaching, dividing your time to ensure tasks, deadlines and targets are met and that each venue has your support where required.

You will take full responsibility for the development of the Learn to Swim Program, ensure pool space is optimised, and manage a healthy transition of students through our framework. You will also lead on developing relationships with Groups, Clubs and Schools in the local area to offer an inclusive Pool Programme for the community. Strategic workforce development is vital to ensure we have products to suit our customers, so you will lead on this with the support of your team.

• To design, maintain, monitor and report back on a financially viable swimming lesson programme that meets the needs of centre customers, schools, and pre-schoolers
• To ensure the smooth administrative running of the swim school
• To organise and communicate the swimming teacher rota in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all lessons are covered by authorised staff
• To organise the work carried out by swimming teachers
• To assist in the recruitment of the swimming teachers
• Level 2 Teaching Aquatics
• Mobility to travel across sites within the contract

• Hours:
  
  37 hours per week, Monday to Sunday (rota basis)
