Job Summary
Oversight of the fitness floor and assisting members as needed.

Essential Functions- Conduct initial fitness assessments to evaluate members' physical capabilities and limitations.
- Design individualized exercise and rehabilitation programs based on assessment results and member goals.
- Perform safety checks on fitness equipment.
- Educate members on proper exercise techniques and safety protocols.
- Provide ongoing support, motivation, and encouragement to members throughout their fitness journey.
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology preferred. This role does not accept experience in lieu of a degree. - Licenses and Credentials:
- Heart Saver CPR / AED – American Heart Association (preferred)
- Certified Personal Trainer (preferred)
- Experience:
0‑1 year in a fitness or healthcare setting required; 0‑1 year working with broad populations required. - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- In‑depth knowledge of exercise and fitness assessment protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire individuals to achieve their fitness goals.
- Proficiency in using fitness assessment tools and technology.
- Standing frequently (34‑66%)
- Walking frequently (34‑66%)
- Sitting occasionally (3‑33%)
- Lifting frequently (35 lbs+ with assisted device)
- Carrying frequently (20‑35 lbs)
- Pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling – each rarely or occasionally as specified
- Reaching, gross manipulation, fine manipulation – frequently (34‑66%)
