Job ObjectiveAbility to operate and be certified on a variety of tasks, including operating manufacturing equipment, following established Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost standards. Ability to perform varying assignments daily.
Essential Job Functions- Commitment to Safety
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Promotes a culture of safety within the organization by leading by example and encouraging others to prioritize safety.
- Promptly reports any safety incidents or near-misses to the appropriate personnel and contributes to the investigation process.
- Active participation in safety-related programs and initiatives is required as necessary. This includes involvement in the safety committee on a rotating schedule, as well as participation in Risk Assessments, Exposure Hunts, department inspections, and change management activities.
- Obtain certification in all PVS level 1 (Plastics Specialist and/or FNL) Training Checklist items (attached) within six weeks of hiring.
- Individual must be flexible and present the ability to become certified in multiple focus factory areas.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment.
- Operate complex manufacturing equipment following established procedures and Control Plans.
- Read and interpret the Discrete Job Routing Sheet and Repetitive(s).
- Perform quality checks as documented.
- Complete necessary computer transactions or paperwork.
- Notifies appropriate Personnel of any incidents or situations that would trigger implementation of the contingency plan.
- Maintain established production standards.
- Accountable for personal goals and departmental goals.
- Ability to successfully complete training and operate PIT's.
- Train new associates in essential job functions.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Excellent attendance required.
- Ability to work overtime as requested or required, including extended shifts and weekends.
- Full time presence required.
High School Diploma and/or GED required.
Prior experience with computerized data collection systems.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
