Description Keep the Equipment Behind Life-Saving Medical Devices Running Strong

At Life Science Outsourcing (LSO), we manufacture medical devices that patients and clinicians depend on. Every device that leaves our Somersworth facility starts with equipment that works exactly as it should, and that is where you come in. As our Maintenance Technician, you will keep our production lines reliable through preventive maintenance, sharp troubleshooting, and fast, high-quality repairs.

If you love figuring out why a machine is acting up, take pride in fixing it right the first time, and want your work to matter beyond the shop floor, you will fit right in. You bring the hands-on skill; we bring a team that values reliability, safety, and doing things the right way.

What You'll Do

As a key member of our Facilities and Maintenance team, you will partner with production and engineering to keep equipment safe, efficient, and ready to meet production targets while upholding strict quality and safety standards.

Preventive Maintenance & Reliability

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to keep it at peak performance and minimize downtime.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that raise equipment reliability, productivity, and efficiency.

Troubleshooting & Repair

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues quickly and correctly.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, including motors, sensors, actuators, and controllers.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies to limit production disruption.

Installation & Collaboration

  • Assist with the installation, setup, and calibration of new equipment to support production needs.
  • Work with production and engineering teams to diagnose complex technical problems and put lasting solutions in place.

Documentation, Safety & Growth

  • Document maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status, following company procedures.
  • Follow all safety regulations and protocols to keep yourself and your coworkers safe.
  • Take part in training programs to build your technical skills and stay current with industry best practices.
Qualifications What You Bring

Skills & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or similar role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose and repair complex machinery.
  • Able to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to understand equipment specifications and layouts.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Certification in industrial maintenance or a related field is a plus.

Mindset & Impact

  • You work well independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • You communicate clearly and approach problems collaboratively.
  • You are committed to safety, quality, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • You are flexible about shifts, including weekends and holidays when production needs it.
Why Join LSO?
  • Your work directly supports medical devices used in patient care.
  • Hands-on variety across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and controls systems.
  • Experience in an FDA-regulated, ISO 13485-certified manufacturing environment.
  • Ongoing training to keep growing your technical skills.
  • A collaborative team where your expertise is visible and valued.
Work Environment
  • On-site at our Somersworth, NH facility, an FDA-registered, ISO 13485-certified medical device contract manufacturer.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
