Architect, Architect ​/ Sr. Architect

Safdie Architects is seeking a licensed Architect I with 5-10 years of professional experience and exceptional design, communication, and interpersonal skills to join our design practice. This is a full-time, in-studio position.

The Architect I works under the direction of the project's management team to develop design concepts and architectural ideas. This role is responsible for completing project assignments independently or by managing others. The Architect I also shares responsibility for organizing and coordinating the efforts of all members of the design team, including outside consultants, and must be familiar with architectural standards.

• Minimum of five years of professional experience and architectural licensure.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering software (Enscape, Lumion, V-Ray) required.
• Working knowledge of Revit and experience with BIM required.
• Experience producing concept, schematic design, and design development documents required.
• Experience designing and detailing large-scale, programmatically complex public and private architectural projects preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of both rational and complex geometries preferred.
• Experience leading teams of junior staff required.
• Demonstrated design sensibility.
• Excellent visual and verbal communication skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States required.

$80,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
