Job Summary:
We are seeking simulated patient professionals who will portray patients, family members, or other roles in simulation scenarios performed at the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Charlestown, MA. The position is per diem, offering the opportunity to support medical students in history taking, physical examinations, and clinical communication. You will be expected to deliver verbal and written feedback to learners and assist in training and supervising new simulated patients.
- Portrays a patient, family member, or other role in a simulation scenario.
- Acts as a patient for simulated history and physical examinations.
- Provides verbal and written feedback to students and faculty following encounters.
- Participates in Standardized Patient Training workshops.
- Assists in training new simulated patients.
- Studies and recalls documentation, actions, and dialogue for training and assessment of health‑care students.
- Follows verbal and written directions provided in training forums or scripted cases.
- Undergoes multiple physical exams in a simulated clinical environment.
- Administers verbal and written feedback to students and faculty.
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
- Ability to read and comprehend a written script and verbal instructions.
- Ability to memorize and improvise specific details.
- Flexibility and reliability with scheduling and assignments.
- Basic computer skills.
- Willingness to wear a hospital gown over light clothing during simulation sessions.
- Minor acting ability desired.
- Work site: MGH Institute of Health Professions, Charlestown, MA (official location listed as corporate headquarters).

$18.22 – $26.06 per hour, with additional benefits and compensation stated by the company.
