Job SummaryBulfinch Temps is currently hiring for Medical Assistants to work in long term temp assignment in ambulatory practices at MGH.
These roles are M-F Day shift 40 hours per week. You must be available for Boston area sites, north, and west. Please note these roles are not benefits eligible. Pay starts at $21.00 per hour and goes up based on years of experience.
These roles are long term ongoing and must be available for more than just the summer.
Essential Functions- Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.
- Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician.
- Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
- Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones, taking dictation, or completing insurance forms.
- Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat, clean and supplies stocked.
- Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.
Licenses and CredentialsExperience:
Direct MA experience or medical field work 0-1 year preferred.
