Deputy General Manager

As part of the management team you will work as a Duty Manager on a rota basis and deputise for the General Manager. Your responsibilities are to assist the General Manager and, in their absence, oversee the proper day to day running of the hotel and restaurant including:

• Front of House
• Check-ins, check-outs, general guest satisfaction
• F&B
• Breakfast, lunch and dinner service
• Bar service
• Function management from enquiries through to negotiation, delivery and billing
• Maintain quality standards
• Product & service quality + guest satisfaction
• Employee satisfaction
• General maintenance
• Building interior, exterior and grounds
• IT infrastructure

• Cost control & purchasing
• Human resources
  Recruitment, training & motivating teammates
  Disciplinary action
• Payroll management
• Sales analysis + Budgeting
• Function

• General strategic enhancement of the hotel product, processes, pricing, promotion and ultimately profitability.

• Microsoft office inc. word and excel.
• Hotel property management systems (exact program not important)
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• To be able to identify and resolve problems.
• Work well independently or as part of a team.
• Work well under pressure.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
• Familiarity with budgeting.
• Restaurant operations.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in hotel operations at line manager level or higher in a4
  * Property in all departments.
• EU or EEC nationality a must.

• This is a permanent position, over 5 days with meals included while on duty.
