Job Description:

Biology Contractor Our Cambridge based biotechnology client is seeking an experienced biologist to join their research team on a contract basis.

This role offers the opportunity to help advance a novel therapeutic platform aimed at addressing serious diseases with significant unmet patient need.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in cell-based assay development, mammalian cell culture, and molecular biology techniques, along with a demonstrated ability to generate high-quality data in a collaborative, fast-paced research environment.

Key Responsibilities Design, optimize, and execute cell-based screening assays in 2D and 3D cellular models

Evaluate therapeutic activity and mechanism of action using a variety of assay platforms, including target engagement, reporter-based, proliferation, and biomarker assays

Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data to cross-functional teams

Maintain accurate laboratory records and experimental documentation

Collaborate closely with research colleagues to support discovery and development programs

QualificationsB.S. in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline with 6+ years of industry experience, or M.S. with 4+ years of industry experience

Strong background in high-throughput cellular assay development, optimization, and quantitative data analysis

Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, including cancer cell lines, primary cells, and/or 3D organoid models

Experience with molecular and cellular biology techniques such as qPCR, ELISA, western blotting, immunoassays, and protein interaction assays

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities

Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Preferred Experience Oncology research experience

Exposure to target engagement or mechanism-of-action studies

Experience supporting drug discovery programs within biotech or pharmaceutical settings
