Light Installation Technician; Seasonal, Paid Training

Job Description

We’re hiring Exterior Lighting Installation Technicians to install Christmas lights and permanent house lighting on homes across greater Boston and the North Shore. Paid training, paid weekly, $25 to $38 per hour.

What you’ll do:

• Install exterior lighting from ladders on one and two story homes
• Christmas light installs: C9 roofline lights, ground lights, and mini lights, mounted with clips (no drilling)
• Permanent lighting installs: aluminum track systems and individual permanent lights mounted on trim
• Run low-voltage wiring and set up power supplies and controllers
• Match each design mockup exactly and take before and after photos on every job
• Fix outages during the season and take down and pack lights after it

What you need:

• Comfortable and safe working at height on ladders. This is the most important requirement.
• Able to lift and carry 50 lbs and work outside in cold weather
• Reliable transportation to job sites
• On time, every time

Big plus: experience in roofing, gutters, painting, siding, or holiday lighting, and any low-voltage or wiring experience. No experience? We train you.

How pay works:

• 3 days paid training at $20/hr.
• After that you earn $15/hr base for every hour on the clock, plus production pay for every light you install.
• You and your crew partner track your installs on every job and sign off on each other’s numbers.
• Most techs land around $28/hr top performers earn $38/hr and up.

Schedule:

seasonal, starting now. Weekdays and some Saturdays. Full time or part time.
