Full-Time Inpatient Adult Psychiatrist

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified inpatient adult psychiatrist for a full‑time position at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville, NJ. The role is part of the Department of Psychiatry and includes managing medications, coordinating treatment teams, and delivering the standard of care in an acute inpatient setting.

• Assess and treat adults and older adults with psychiatric and dual disorders in an acute care setting.
• Manage medication regimens and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams.
• Deliver the standard of care during inpatient stays.

• ABPN board‑certified or board‑eligible in Adult Psychiatry.
• New Jersey licensure or eligibility for licensure.
• Experience in an inpatient setting preferred.
• High energy, adaptability, and teamwork skills.
• Open to new graduates and experienced physicians; trainees may earn up to $24,000 with the residency stipend program in the final year of residency.

Salary range: $315,000 to $475,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health, life, disability, and malpractice insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; paid time off and additional CME time off.
