IDCare, a nationally recognized leader in infectious diseases, antibiotic stewardship, infection prevention, and travel medicine, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Infectious Disease Physician to join our team at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville, New Jersey. This position offers the full spectrum of infectious disease practice, combining a Rutgers-affiliated academic medical center with a well-established community hospital within RWJBarnabas Health.
You will join a highly collegial group of over 60 infectious disease specialists dedicated to clinical excellence, quality improvement, and advancing the science of infectious diseases.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient consultation for infectious diseases at assigned hospitals and clinics
- Participate in antibiotic stewardship initiatives
- Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, transplant services, and other specialists in the management of complex infections
- Engage in academic and teaching opportunities with residents, students, and fellows
- Contribute to quality improvement programs across the health system
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited institution
- Completion of an accredited Infectious Disease fellowship
- Board Certified or Eligible in Infectious Disease
- Eligible for medical licensure in New Jersey
- Strong clinical acumen and excellent communication skills
