Medical Technologist – Part‑Time, Somerville, NJ

Location: 110 REHILL AVE, SOMERVILLE, NJ 08876

Department: Lab RWJSH

Pay: $36.35 – $48.29 per hour

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Part‑Time Medical Technologist to work in its Somerville, NJ laboratory. The candidate will perform routine and complex biological and biochemical tests on a variety of specimens to assist physicians in patient diagnosis and management.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related sciences
• Two to three years of clinical laboratory experience

Preferred:

• ASCP Certification or equivalent

• Part‑Time
• Day shift
• Must work holiday and weekend rotations as defined by section leadership

• Assume responsibility for the performance of routine, standardized biological and/or biochemical tests on blood, urine, tissues, body fluids and other specimens
• Maintain equipment and perform minor troubleshooting as necessary
• Perform additional tasks as requested by Chair of Pathology or designee
• Demonstrate knowledge of specialized principles or techniques normally obtained through a formal college program
