Job Title: Support Aide

Facility: RWJ Somerset

Department: Environmental Services

Shift: Evening (5:00pm - 10:30pm)

Hours: 25 hours per week, part‑time, no weekends or holidays

Pay: $16.36 – $18.71 per hour

Support Aides are responsible for cleaning and reporting any safety hazards to the manager in charge. They must complete tasks such as vacuuming, emptying trash cans, dusting, high dusting, cleaning windows, sweeping and mopping patient rooms, bathrooms, nurse’s station, hallways, stairs, elevators, floor‑care projects, and room setups as needed.

• One to two years as a housekeeper or service worker (preferred)
• Command of English

• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods.
• Requires bending, stooping, reaching up, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to chemicals on a constant basis requiring special clothing or safety equipment.

• Evening Shift, 5:00pm – 10:30pm
• 25 Hours per week
• No weekends or holidays

To provide housekeeping/cleaning services that support the highest possible level of cleanliness and sanitation for the department; provide exceptional service to internal and external customers; maintain an orderly and attractive environment throughout the facility in accordance with RWJ standards.
