Reporting to the Director of Technology for Immaculata High School, and working with the entire Technology Department of IHS (including subcontractors), the Technology Associate is responsible for assisting in the overall management and maintenance of all technology assets - hardware and software. This individual will be frequently asked to provide technical support to the faculty, staff and students of IHS, who range greatly in technical savvy.
While primarily working for Immaculata High School, on occasion, this individual may also be asked to assist with special projects at Immaculate Conception School and the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Somerville, NJ. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual with technical expertise and experience who can communicate effectively with coworkers.
- Assist the Director of Technology for IHS in all reasonable capacities;
- Provide technical support to faculty, staff, students;
- Provide guidance to parents on the use of educational technology provided by IHS;
- Work with the Director of Technology for IHS to maintain accurate records involving computer use, inventory and maintenance;
- Assist with the integration of Chromebooks, Clear Touch Boards, and other technologies in an academic setting;
- Assist in the research, procurement, and implementation of new hardware and software for IHS;
- Alongside the entire technology department of IHS and its affiliates, assist in the development a plan/vision for the organization’s technology program;
- Assist with special projects, multimedia, etc., including AV setup for special events and assemblies;
- Assist in the management of the back-end of the IHS website and social media;
- Assist in the maintenance of data (particularly student demographics and academic data) in Power School (SIS) and Schoology (LMS) and other platforms as needed;
- Facilitate queries/exports from Power School SIS (and other databases) to approved stakeholders, particularly the Academic Office and the Counseling Office;
- Assist in the management (not the creation) of content for digital displays throughout the IHS campus.
- Religion:
Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with a commitment to ongoing formation in catechetical and spiritual leadership development or a non-Catholic as approved by the Principal. - Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related field fields, with a demonstrated knowledge of effective database management - Effective Communication Skills
- Detail-oriented;
- Ability to self-manage time;
- Driver’s License;
- Prior experience in a K-12 educational setting, especially one with a 1-to-1 Chromebook program;
- Prior experience managing a Google Workspace with Google Admin Console;
- Prior experience administering a WiFi network with cloud-managed Cisco Meracki access points;
- Basic Knowledge of TCP/IP;
- Basic knowledge of ETC stage-lighting software and audio equipment set-up is a plus.
50,000+ commensurate with experience
Working Conditions:- Required to work some nights and weekends.
- Required to manage high to moderate levels of stress

- Required to work in a standard school setting and office conditions.
- Required to lift or carry classroom supplies, textbooks, furniture and school equipment to a minimum of 35 pounds
- Required to maintain composure and avoid inappropriate displays of emotion
- Required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, grab, pull, hear, see, and speak on a daily basis
- Required to perform repetitive physical tasks such as computer keyboarding, writing, and reading
- Required to monitor students in a variety of locations and situations including those with noise, activity, and inclement weather.
