About the Role

Int Verse Inc. is seeking a highly experienced SAP BASIS Consultant to support a large, regulated enterprise SAP landscape at our client’s Raritan, NJ facility. The consultant will serve as the primary technical owner for landscape administration, upgrades, migrations, and operational stability, working closely with the client’s SAP functional, security, infrastructure, and cloud teams. This is a hands-on, senior-level position requiring independent judgment, strong stakeholder communication, and the ability to lead technical initiatives end to end.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain SAP systems including ECC / S/4
  
  HANA, BW/4
  
  HANA, PI/PO, Solution Manager, Fiori Gateway, and Web Dispatcher across DEV, QA, PRD, and sandbox tiers
• Perform system monitoring, health checks, and proactive tuning (work processes, memory, buffers, RFC, spool, batch, lock management)
• Manage the transport landscape: TMS configuration, transport strategy, ChaRM integration, release coordination, and import troubleshooting
• Perform client administration (copies, exports/imports, deletions) and system refreshes with post-refresh activities
• Manage user administration, authorization troubleshooting, and SSO (SAML / Kerberos / SNC) configuration in coordination with the Security/GRC team
• Administer SAP HANA: installation, patching, backup/recovery, system replication (HSR), tenant management, memory/CPU tuning, and sizing
• Support secondary databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2, Sybase ASE) as applicable, including migration to HANA
• Plan and execute kernel updates, Support Package Stacks, enhancement packages, and / upgrades using SUM
• Lead or support S/4
  
  HANA conversions (readiness checks, SI checks, SUM DMO, custom code remediation coordination, downtime optimization)
• Execute OS/DB migrations, homogeneous/heterogeneous system copies, and landscape consolidations
• Support SAP on cloud initiatives: RISE with SAP, SAP BTP, and hyperscaler-hosted deployments (Azure / AWS / GCP)
• Participate in cutover planning, mock runs, go-live, and hypercare
• Provide L2/L3 support for SAP technical issues; own P1/P2 incident resolution and root-cause analysis
• Author and maintain runbooks, SOPs, system documentation, and change records per client ITIL and validation processes
• Participate in on-call rotation and planned weekend maintenance windows as required
• Ensure landscape adherence to GxP / SOX controls: change control, audit trails, system validation, and documentation
• Apply SAP security notes, coordinate vulnerability remediation, and support internal and external audits with technical evidence
• Act as technical point of contact for the client’s SAP landscape; mentor junior BASIS resources and review their work
• Coordinate with SAP, hyperscaler, and third-party vendors on OSS messages, licensing, and escalations

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on SAP BASIS administration experience in enterprise environments
• Minimum of 3 full-cycle implementations, upgrades, or migrations in a lead or senior role
• Strong SAP HANA database administration expertise (certification preferred)
