Why This Role MattersWe're seeking a General Manager, US — an experienced and ambitious leader from the CRO, Life Science, or Regulatory Consulting sector who wants to shape the future of science‑led consulting.
You’ll lead VCLS Inc., driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and deep client engagement while nurturing a high‑performing, values‑driven culture. This is an opportunity to help write the next chapter of VCLS's story — scaling a purpose‑led consulting business and making a tangible impact on science, people, and patients.
This role is ideal for a consulting leader who combines operational acumen with vision, someone who has experienced what it takes to grow from "here to there," and who thrives on building organizations that unite expertise, culture, and impact.
What You’ll DoMarket Leadership & Strategic Growth
- Define and execute the strategic direction for VCLS in the US, aligned with global goals.
- Build and strengthen long‑term partnerships with biotech, pharma, medtech, and investor communities.
- Position VCLS as a trusted strategic partner across regulatory, development, and evidence‑generation services.
- Generate opportunities that connect the US market to the wider VCLS global network.
Operational & Financial Leadership
- Own the performance, growth, and sustainability of the US business.
- Ensure the delivery of high‑quality, science‑driven consulting that meets client needs and regulatory expectations.
- Collaborate with global leaders to optimize resources, efficiency, and knowledge sharing.
Leadership & Culture
- Inspire and empower US‑based consulting and BD teams, fostering a collaborative, purpose‑led culture

- Senior leader with a proven track record in Life Sciences consulting, regulatory strategy, clinical development, or adjacent fields.
- Demonstrated success in business development and strategic client acquisition at the C‑suite level.
- Well‑established network within US Biotech, Med Tech, Pharma, and investment communities.
- Strategic thinker capable of shaping market positioning and growth strategy.
- Inspirational people leader who has built, coached, and retained high‑performing teams in global, matrixed organizations.
- Strong financial acumen with prior P&L accountability.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the presence and credibility to represent VCLS externally.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative, solutions‑focused approach.
- Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, or a related discipline; MBA or business qualifications are a plus.
