Job Summary
The Inventory Control Manager will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing inventory management processes within our cannabis operations. This role requires a detail‑oriented individual with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of inventory control principles, and the ability to thrive in a highly regulated environment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Develop and implement inventory management policies and procedures to ensure accurate tracking, compliance, and optimization of inventory levels.
- Act as an Inventory Control Partner to both Cultivation and Production departments.
- Oversee the receiving, storing, and issuing of cannabis products, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and integrity.
- Ensure compliance with state and local regulations governing cannabis inventory tracking, reporting, and security.
- Maintain thorough understanding of METRC (Marijuana Enforcement Tracking Reporting Compliance) and ensure proper utilization by the inventory team.
- Collaborate with compliance officers to address any issues or discrepancies related to inventory management.
- Lead and develop a team of inventory control specialists, coordinators, and associates.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to ensure team members understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining inventory accuracy and compliance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the inventory control team.
- Evaluate, implement, and optimize inventory management software and technology solutions to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on inventory management systems, providing training and support to team members as needed.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure product integrity and prevent contamination or loss throughout the inventory management process.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address any quality‑related issues or concerns identified during inventory management activities.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in inventory management, preferably in the cannabis industry or a similarly regulated environment.
- 1–2 years as a people leader.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles, processes, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
- Strong strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- High level of integrity and strict adherence to protecting confidential information.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proven background of leading through influence.
- Organized and detail oriented with ability to execute change management.

Base Pay Range
$59,000 - $65,000 (actual pay based on experience, qualifications, and location. Roles may be eligible for an annual bonus program.)
