Somerset Ambulatory Surgical Center has an immediate need for a per diem Pre Op/PACU RN! At Somerset Ambulatory Surgical Center, we focus on offering a high‑quality, service‑oriented environment for your surgical procedure. Our facility is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.
Job Summary: The Pre Op/PACU RN is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RD/PACU provides safe, effective, and quality patient‑family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The Pre Op/PACU supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of New Jersey.
- Current CPR, ACLS, PALS required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Pre‑Op/PACU or Critical Care. Experience working in an ASC is a plus.
- Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptiveness to change, creativity and innovation.
- Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient.
- Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation.
- Excellent teaching skills.
- Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology.
- Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.
Pay Range: $43.00 – $52.53/hr (wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience).
