SDE + SME Computer Networks

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced professional to join as an SDE and Subject Matter Expert in Computer Networks in our Computer Science Department. This dual-role position combines academic instruction with practical engineering insights. You will deliver engaging lectures, mentor students, design and run labs, and contribute to the academic excellence of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Design and Delivery:
Develop, structure, and deliver high-quality course material and labs in Computer Networks.
Hands-On Labs:
Design and manage lab sessions to reinforce theoretical concepts with practical experience.
Academic Mentorship:
Guide, support, and mentor students in academic and career-related areas.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Coordinate with university and Newton School stakeholders to align curriculum and student outcomes with industry needs.
Ownership of Student Success:
Ensure student engagement, understanding, and overall success.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with industry trends to refine teaching content and approach.
Must-Have

Qualifications:

0-4 years of hands-on experience in Computer Networks.
Proficient in Linux and Unix commands and shell scripting.
Clean coding practices and ability to demonstrate practical coding knowledge.
In-depth understanding of Operating Systems and Networking fundamentals, including:
OSI and TCP IP models
Protocols: TCP, UDP, IP
Firewalls, VPNs, and encryption (SSL/TLS)
Process scheduling, multitasking, and memory management
Exceptional communication and teaching skills, able to simplify complex technical topics.
Willingness to relocate and work full-time from Sonipat campus.
