Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of the Upward Bound Lake and Mendocino County Programs, the Outreach Coordinator performs complex professional student services work by providing comprehensive academic advising and outreach to students. Responsibilities include case management and coordination of outreach services such as student recruitment, college placement, and school outreach. The coordinator works primarily on‑site at Lake County high schools (Kelseyville High, Middletown High, Upper Lake High) and collaborates with school counselors, administrators, teachers, parents, and university staff to meet program objectives and comply with TRIO, SSU, CSU, and U.S. Department of Education regulations.

Key Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (or the equivalent in experience).

• Minimum of two years’ experience with TRIO, academic support, or similar programs involving low‑income, first‑generation, minority, or disadvantaged students.

• Three years of progressively responsible professional student services work (substitutable by a master’s degree for one year of experience).

• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency highly preferred.

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

• Knowledge of Google Suite, Student Access, and People Soft preferred.

Salary and Benefits
Starting salary is set by qualifications and experience and will not exceed $5,540 per month. This is a full‑time, fixed‑term, exempt position. Reappointment depends on performance and budgetary considerations. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, CalPERS retirement, tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave, 15 paid holidays, and a Personal Holiday. The university is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness Employer.
