Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering Ops

Join Collins Aerospace to apply for the Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering Ops role. This position focuses on designing and improving manufacturing processes and equipment to ensure efficient, high‑quality production.

What You Will Do
  • Participate in the design and arrangement of machines within plant facilities for efficient and productive layout.
  • Support production operations metrics for safety, quality, delivery, and cost by initiating continuous improvement projects.
  • Design and develop new or revised manufacturing processes.
  • Propose product design changes based on manufacturing feasibility.
  • Conduct tests and measurements during production stages to control applicable variables.
  • Troubleshoot and solve production process problems with existing processes or equipment.
  • Determine Total Productive Maintenance and repair materials required for machines and equipment.
  • Recommend acquisition and use of new technology equipment and materials.
  • Train other team members on internal processes.
  • Execute strategic business process improvements.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain ATF access.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Laser welding experience.
  • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience.
  • Application Programming Interface (API) experience.
  • Experience with Non‑Destructive Testing and inspection techniques.
  • Experience with packaging and/or logistics.
  • Solid interpersonal, presentation, and Microsoft Office skills.
