Application Support Analyst

Vode Lighting is an architectural lighting company that designs and manufactures high-end linear LED fixtures. The Application Support Analyst will work directly with business users and software engineers to deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are essential, as well as versatility at juggling multiple tasks and projects concurrently. A successful candidate will be a self-starter and quick learner, capable of grasping new concepts quickly, and consistently following through to deliver quality results in a client-focused, team environment.

• Act as first level support for business users, troubleshooting enterprise application issues;
• Perform implementation, maintenance, remediation, and troubleshooting services for enterprise applications;
• Work closely with internal users and external vendors to resolve production support issues;
• Analyze and drive root cause analysis;
• Maintain technical support documentation;
• Assist in testing and monitoring system changes implemented in accordance with policies and procedures;
• Work with business sponsors to define business requirements, determine scope, and identify technical alternatives and limitations for system enhancements and change requests;
• Translate business requirements into functional application configurations and process-related improvements;
• Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools;
• Update job knowledge by researching new technologies and software products; participate in educational opportunities; read professional publications; maintain personal networks; participate in professional organizations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Software Engineering, IT Related field or equivalent experience required;
• Strong MS Excel, SQL and data analytics required;
• Prior experience application troubleshooting and software issue resolution;
• Desire and ability to efficiently learn new technology and business concepts;
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, commitment to a client-focused, solutions-oriented approach;
• Strong organization and time-management skills;
• Sense of urgency to meet deadlines while maintaining a high-level of attention to detail and a quality work product;
• Additional experience, knowledge or familiarity with the following a plus:
  Fish Bowl Inventory Management System; SQL language including insert/update/deletes, joins, stored procedures etc; custom report creation; exposure to application development principles and processes;

Training

You will be trained on the specifics of Vode's lighting systems, relevant internal systems, and the construct of the lighting industry and constituents we serve.
