Advanced Practice Practitioner - Primary Care (32 hours per week, M‑T, Th‑F)
Under the direction of the Supervising Physician, provides primary care in the physician clinic. Duties include general and preventative care, conducting check‑ups, treating illnesses, ordering lab tests and diagnostic imaging, prescribing medication for children and adults, educating patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments, and ensuring timely documentation in patients' medical records.
Responsibilities- Provide primary care services in the physician clinic.
- Conduct check‑ups and treat illnesses.
- Order lab tests and diagnostic imaging.
- Prescribe medicine for children and adults.
- Educate patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments.
- Communicate and work with medical staff to ensure coordinated efforts for high‑quality medical treatment.
- Ensure documentation in the patient's medical record is completed in a timely manner.
- Serve as a clinical resource for medical assistants and provide in‑services as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement and utilization review activities.
- Assist manager with policy and procedure review and revision.
- Actively participate in monthly staff meetings.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program or Nurse Practitioner Program.
- Experience: 3‑5 years experience in Primary Care preferred.

Certifications:
Licensed Physician Assistant with an active DEA license, or Certified Nurse Practitioner with a California Board of Registered Nursing license, a Nurse Practitioner Furnishing License, and a National Provider Identifier; current BLS required. - Required Skills & Knowledge: Ability to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols; competence in reacting to and handling emergencies; collaborative work within a busy, complex health environment; excellent written and oral communication; ability to manage priorities and workflow; versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work autonomously; strong interpersonal skills; bilingual a plus; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Actual compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
Salary range:
USD $76.50 – $110.45 per hour
