MV Transportation is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager who will be a dynamic, multi‑task‑oriented senior professional to manage all day‑to‑day maintenance as aspects of this fixed‑route and paratransit bus operation. The Fleet Maintenance Manager will ensure that all contractual requirements are achieved, and duties included will consist of daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports. The Fleet Maintenance Manager must be able to properly manage a budget for the maintenance program.

Talent Requirements:

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in managing the maintenance of a heavy‑duty bus or truck fleet; at least two (2) years of experience with fixed‑route and paratransit fleets.
• Must possess in‑depth knowledge of mechanical maintenance and repair methods, strong knowledge of diesel, CNG, and electric vehicle systems, and proficiency with maintenance management software.
• Operational and working knowledge of compressed natural gas fueling systems and demonstrated experience in maintaining major components and vehicle systems (e.g., transmissions, HVAC systems, air systems, CNG engines, gasoline engines, CNG fuel tank inspection procedures, and electric transit coaches).
• Experience supervising maintenance personnel (mechanics, parts clerks, fuelers/washers, etc.).
• Preferred previous passenger transportation experience in the current project or similar environment; ability to manage and interface with the client.
• Ability to track and control parts inventories, vendors, and suppliers.
• Ability to prioritize, implement, and manage work schedules, projects, and assignments.
• Financial/accounting management of fleet maintenance operation.
• Effective communication with all staff levels, both written and oral.
• Computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, Microsoft Outlook.
• ASE or manufacturer certifications a plus.
• Solid knowledge of managing audits and PM schedules.
• Equivalent of journeyman mechanic;
  Associate degree or equivalent from a college or accredited technical school.
• Display initiative, professionalism, candor, and tact at all times.

Starting salary range: $125,000 - $140,000
