Senior Tunneling Consultant

Provost & Pritchard is offering opportunities for a Senior Tunneling Consultant with a diversity of experience in technical expertise, design, project planning, project engineering, management, client relations and/or business development. Candidates should possess an extensive background in the design and construction methods of tunnel/underground structures including geological investigations, design and construction of new tunnel and rehabilitation projects, structural foundations, landslides, slope stability and geologic hazards.

Typical duties include:

• Lead and prepare feasibility studies
• Consult with clients on engineering and related matters
• Preparation of technical memorandums and reports
• Administer construction contracts
• Direct projects from planning through completion

• Bachelors and/or masters degree in civil engineering, Engineering Geology, and/or Geotechnical Engineering, or related field
• Hold at least one of the following registered licenses in California:
  Civil Engineer (PE), Engineering Geologist (CEG), or Geotechnical Engineer (GE)
• Valid California drivers license and available transportation
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required
• Understand and be experienced with regulatory compliance issues as they relate to design specialty areas
