Surgical Technician - Sonora, CA

Job Summary

Assists the surgical team with operating room preparation and procedures by maintaining the sterile field, preparing instruments and supplies, passing instruments and supporting surgeons throughout surgical cases.

• Prepare surgical cases, instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Set up and maintain a sterile field using proper aseptic technique.
• Pass instruments, supplies, and medications during procedures.
• Complete instrument, sponge, needle, and blade counts with the RN.
• Maintain surgical equipment and inventory.
• Collect case data and perform required clerical duties.
• Clean equipment and maintain a safe, organized operating room.
• Transport patients as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/GED —
  Required
• Associate’s/Technical Degree —
  Preferred
• Scrub technician and/or operating room experience —
  Preferred
• Surgery Technician Certification —
  Preferred
• BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor —
  Required
