Variable scheduling – hours are not guaranteed. This float pool position covers all Sonora, Angels Camp, Groveland, and Arnold clinics. The role requires availability Monday‑Friday for scheduled shifts and calls on days off. The pay includes an additional hourly percentage on top of base pay for per diem work.
Job SummaryPerforms procedures requiring specialized training for general nursing care under the direction of an RN or MD. Participates in patient care planning, maintains asepsis during treatments, and provides direction to ancillary personnel.
Job RequirementsEducation and
Work Experience:
- High School Education/GED or equivalent – Preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience – Preferred
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure in the state of practice – Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS or HS‑BLS or RQIBLS) Health Care Provider certification – Required
- Arrhythmia certification – Preferred
- LVN/LPN or RN or NP – Required
- Provides care for assigned patients under RN supervision according to established standards.
- Performs admission assessments and ongoing re‑assessments per department policy.
- Develops and implements prioritized interdisciplinary care plans.
- Implements teaching plans, discharge plans, and patient education protocols.
- Performs clinical procedures (e.g., phlebotomy, injections, drug screens) and administers medications.
- Orders/restocks supplies as needed, maintaining cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
