This position involves the precise fitting, aligning, and welding of structural steel components.
Responsibilities- Perform FCAW and MIG welding to join steel parts according to industry standards.
- Inspect welded joints and structural assemblies for quality, accuracy, and compliance with safety regulations.
Understand basic blueprints and welding symbols
Requirements- 3+ years of proven experience as a structural steel welder or fitter in a construction or fabrication environment.
- Experience working with heavy structural steel
- Experience with FCAW Welding preferred but MIG or Stick experience is acceptable
- Commitment to safe work
- Ability to walk, sit, and stand for long periods of time.
- Lift and carry materials or tools weighing up to 50+ pounds
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots as required.
