The School of Education at Indiana University South Bend is seeking a full‑time lecturer (Non‑Tenure Track) in Elementary Education with training in and knowledge of STEM Education practices for the Spring 2026 Semester.
Responsibilities- Teach four courses per semester in elementary, special education, and/or STEM education and related content for graduate and undergraduate teacher preparation programs.
- Teaching in the summer is voluntary and compensated separately.
- Courses may be in‑person, online, hybrid, or other formats, and may be offered in the evenings, weekends, and off‑campus partner locations.
- Assist in recruitment and retention efforts as needed.
- Work collaboratively with faculty from across campuses, K‑12 schools, and agencies.
- Provide service to the school, college, campus, and university and participate in shared governance activities.
- Master of Science in Education with an emphasis in Elementary Education, Special Education, or STEM Education.
- Five or more years of experience teaching in an elementary classroom (pre‑K‑5).
- Demonstration of excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Elementary Education or a related field.
- Experience and evidence of successful teaching at the university level, including in online and/or hybrid settings.
Experience facilitating curriculum development, mapping, and evaluation within the Special Education or STEM concentrations.
