General Description:
The Entrepreneurship Teacher's role is to create a well-rounded, comprehensive Entrepreneurship program for students at Career Academy Middle School, grades 6-8 and collaborate and co-teach with Success Academy teacher in grades K-5. You will be responsible for providing support to the students and to the Instructional process within the classroom and other assigned areas in a way that will be creative and interesting to the students.
Applicants should be fluent with current entrepreneurship trends and creating student centered learning environments.
- Bachelors Degree in related field required
- 2 years of entrepreneurship experience
- 5 years of demonstrated success with curriculum development
- Excellent collaboration, written, and verbal communication skills
- A passion for student success
- Proficiency with Microsoft and Learning Management systems
- Proficient in creating facilitation content
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Strong ability to motivate and lead team in creating experiences to maximize student growth in an entrepreneurial environment
- Bilingual in Spanish valued
- Research, design, build, and maintain outcomes-based, next generation instructional content in entrepreneurship education
- Lead and build k-8 entrepreneurship program experiences
- Facilitate the Career Academy Middle School entrepreneurship program and model best practices
- Co-teach with Success Academy Elementary school teachers to integrate entrepreneurship education experiences for students
- Maintain an entrepreneurial mindset
- Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among students for whom you are responsible within your classroom
- Observe and evaluate students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health
- Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and communicate those objectives to students
- Assign and grade class work and homework
- Prepare, administer, and grade assessments and assignments in order to evaluate students' progress
- Collaborate with parents or guardians, teachers, social worker, and administration in order to resolve students' behavior and academic problems
- Meet with parents and guardians to discuss children's progress and to determine their priorities to their children and their resource needs
- Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate behavior plans for use in general and special education settings

Must demonstrate foundational professionalism, including consistent attendance, punctuality, adherence to school policies and procedures, and strong employability skills. These are considered essential, non-negotiable expectations of the role.
