Position: Middle School Math Teacher - 26/27 SY

Paramount Schools of Excellence provided pay range: $50,000.00/yr – $50,000.00/yr. Actual pay will be based on experience and skills.

Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the team lead/elite teacher, the PSOE Classroom Teacher provides direct instruction through curriculum implementation, lesson planning, data disaggregation, and classroom management. Additional duties include maintaining compliance with individual student Education Plans, Section 504 Plans, and other regulatory requirements. The teacher demonstrates operational knowledge of best practices in education, state and federal education law, FERPA, FAPE, parent relations, behavioral management, and documented accountability.

Middle

School Math (Grades 6-8)

Middle school math teachers should demonstrate inspirational and creative qualities in curriculum, instruction, assessment, classroom management, professional responsibilities, and relationships with families and the community.

Curriculum
  • Proficient understanding of integrated project‑based instruction
  • Proficient use of the Core Knowledge Sequence
  • Understanding of Everyday Mathematics strands, processes, and vocabulary
  • Robust content knowledge for senior‑level math courses
  • Current knowledge of mathematics education trends, pedagogy, and issues
  • Comfort with open‑ended content that engages exploration and problem‑solving
Responsibilities
  • Experience teaching a hands‑on math program or interest in such programs
  • Comfortable in student‑directed classrooms with collaborative exploration centers
  • Ability to develop concepts with manipulatives and across units
  • Willingness to participate in professional development to enhance instruction
  • Experience integrating technology tools into math curriculum and modeling effective use
  • Provide direct instruction in whole‑class, small group, and individual settings
  • Use data‑driven instruction and PSOE frameworks for standard‑driven delivery
  • Complete assessments, grading, planning, and conferences in timely manner
  • Collaborate with team lead, elite teachers, special education director, counselor, and other professionals for support of students with exceptional needs
  • Implement BIP, FBA, IEP, and 504 programs appropriately
  • Provide additional reporting as requested by special education director or counselor
  • Maintain regular family communication and community partnerships
  • Keep detailed case files and follow‑up documentation per administration requirements
  • Participate in committees and local operations to strengthen the educational team
  • Act as professional advisor to the team lead/elite teacher on classroom activities
  • Adhere to PSOE frameworks approved by the CEO and staff handbook
  • Maintain supportive classroom communication as outlined in the school’s frameworks
  • Assume delegated roles for team workload management
  • Use effective systems to troubleshoot, track progress, and evaluate workflow components
Program Planning and Management
  • Contribute to the organization’s mission and school priorities
  • Assist in planning, implementation, evaluation of special projects
  • Plan and manage human resources effectively
  • Establish a positive, healthy, and safe working environment in compliance with FERPA, FAPE, Section 504, and special education regulations
Qualifications and Education Requirements

The Classroom Teacher will be thoroughly committed to the PSOE mission. Prior full‑time education experience in a similar setting is preferred.

  • Valid Indiana State Teaching License or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in education
  • Commitment to quality programs and production
  • Excellence in organizational management, data disaggregation, and strategic goal achievement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, persuasive and passionate communicator, excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills
  • Action‑oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative planning approach
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse groups
  • Passion, idealism, integrity, grit, positive attitude, mission‑driven, and self‑directed
  • Annual training and/or professional development required for all PSOE employees; training scheduled by the School Principal or direct supervisor in partnership with Paramount C‑suite
