Aegis Worldwide is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with deep expertise in mechanical design, electrical and electronic integration, and control systems for diesel and electrically driven pumping solutions. The ideal candidate will thrive in managing multidisciplinary engineering projects, demonstrating technical leadership, innovation, and a strategic approach to complex engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and evaluate technical specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Lead the full design lifecycle from conceptual sketches to detailed CAD models and prototypes.
  • Conduct regular project review meetings with stakeholders to monitor milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop accurate BOMs (Bill of Materials) reflecting all required components for successful project execution.
  • Perform validation simulations and rigorous testing to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Create precise manufacturing drawings and collaborate with machine shops to ensure design intent is achieved.
  • Provide post-manufacturing support to resolve assembly or deployment issues.
  • Design detailed schematics for mechanical, electrical, and electronic system interfaces.
  • Partner with vendors to integrate new or existing technologies efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Optimize workflows to enhance engineering efficiency and reduce time-to-market for new products.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to align engineering, manufacturing, and quality processes.
  • Implement sustainable engineering practices and conduct risk assessments for safe system design.
  • Oversee prototype development and full-scale production to validate designs.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines to meet financial and operational objectives.
  • Mentor junior engineers to strengthen technical skills and team knowledge.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in engineering designs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in mechanical design, product development, and release management.
  • Proficient in CAD software, preferably Solid Works, and familiar with CAE/CFD simulations.
  • Six Sigma certification preferred for process optimization.
  • Strong background in structural and mechanical system design.
  • PE license preferred for senior-level positions; PMP certification is a plus.
  • Experience with 3D printing and additive manufacturing processes.
  • Proven ability to optimize workflows, manage projects, and lead cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with PLM / IQMS (MRP) systems for effective project management.
