Job Summary Interface with all branches for quality escapes both internal and external Maintain quality charts, graphs and facilitate rapid root cause at all branches. Work on Continuous Improvement projects with branches to improve quality and reduce escapes.

Quality Engineer - South Bend, IN (Urgent Hire!)
Onsite | Full-Time | Copper and Brass Sales (thyssenkrupp Materials, NA)

Our South Bend, IN location is growing, and we're looking for a hands-on Quality Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of our copper and brass operations.

• Interface with all branches to address internal and external quality issues.

• Maintain quality charts, reports, and facilitate rapid root-cause investigations.

• Drive Continuous Improvement projects to reduce quality escapes across sites.

• Partner with branch Quality Leadership to ensure customer metrics are met.

• Support root cause, corrective action, and process improvement initiatives.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (required under ITAR regulations).

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

• 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing and quality control methods
  .

• Strong skills in root cause analysis, corrective action, and continuous improvement.

• Ability to read technical prints/drawings; knowledge of inspection processes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Preferred:
  Six Sigma Greenbelt, AS9100 auditor certification (or ability to obtain), aerospace background, CNC/Mfg experience, CMM, FAI, PPAP, 8D problem solving.
