Responsible for ensuring all electrical systems in hyperscale and enterprise data centers are installed, tested, and performing to design specifications, industry codes, and client requirements. This role is critical to delivering safe, reliable, and compliant electrical infrastructure through the commissioning phase.
Electrical Inspection & Validation- Inspect and validate electrical systems (switch‑gear, UPS, generators, PDUs, grounding, distribution equipment).
- Verify installations against design specs and applicable standards (CXPOR 8.2, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, client requirements).
- Witness and validate functional, load bank, and integrated systems testing (L2/L3 through IST).
- Perform hands‑on inspection of medium‑voltage and low‑voltage equipment (up to 15 kV).
- Develop/manage ITPs, QC procedures, NCRs, O&M manuals, and turnover packages.
- Execute LOTO procedures and electrical testing (megger, torque, continuity, insulation resistance).
- Enforce compliance with the latest NEC code updates.
- Collaborate with commissioning agents, engineers, and contractors to execute commissioning scripts.
- Document deficiencies, track corrective actions, and ensure resolution prior to turnover.
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Implement QA/QC protocols throughout the commissioning lifecycle.
- Maintain inspection logs, punch lists, and quality documentation.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Identify and resolve issues within mission‑critical environments.
- Apply advanced LOTO practices.
- Enforce safety standards during all inspections/testing.
- Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, LOTO procedures, and electrical testing protocols.
- Experience with commissioning/reporting software.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to operate in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
- Experience on Microsoft or Amazon data center projects is a plus.
- Certified Electrical Inspector (ICC or equivalent)
- Commissioning Certification (CxA, BCxP, or similar)
- OSHA 30
