Service Manager

Competitive pay range: $65,000 – $75,000 per year based on skills and experience. Responsibilities- Provide daily operational support for the department.
- Supervise and track day-to-day activities of the department.
- Review completed technician paperwork for accuracy and process following workflow guidelines.
- Ensure staff are up-to-date on safety, vendor, and required training and licensing.
- Manage time & attendance, paid time off, and payroll.
- Coordinate staffing to cover assignments as needed, including on-call list, if required.
- Develop your team and serve as a motivator and coach for each member.
- Provide performance feedback timely using the company-approved platform.
- Assist leadership with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new department staff.
- Open willingness to continual learning.
- Interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional manner.
- Demonstrate an understanding of and follow all safety regulations and practices.
- Follow all Koorsen policies, procedures, and core values.
- Any other duties deemed appropriate by management.
- 1–3+ years of previous technician or operations experience in Fire Life Safety.
- Relevant low-voltage electrical and mechanical experience.
- Leadership skills: management experience.
- Must be organized and able to exercise effective time management skills to prioritize workload.
- Must be able to source, understand, and interpret industry codes and standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency working in Microsoft Suite;
Outlook, Word, Excel. - Must be able to meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications.
- Pass drug and background screenings.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Able to safely and effectively use general hand and power tools.
- Lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.; push and pull greater than 50 lbs.
- Climb a ladder reaching a height of at least 12 feet and operate a man lift that may reach heights exceeding 40 feet to perform services.
- Exposure to outside weather conditions, temperature changes, and loud noises.
- Work in confined space environments.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- New hires must complete the I-9 Verification form within 3 days of hire.
- All Positions require background checks with criminal courts, state and county repositories of criminal records, and the Department of Motor Vehicles.
- A urinalysis test is required if this application results in an offer of employment.
