Certified Welding Inspector
The Certified Welding Inspector will ensure that all welded components meet rigorous quality and safety standards. You’ll be responsible for inspecting welds on structural and precision metal parts, verifying compliance with industry codes, and supporting continuous improvement in welding processes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct visual and non-destructive inspections of welds on metal components and assemblies
- Review and verify welding procedures, welder qualifications, and material certifications
- Ensure compliance with AWS, ASME, and company-specific welding codes and standards
- Document inspection results, flag non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve welding issues and improve quality
- Monitor welding processes and provide feedback to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Maintain inspection tools and calibration records
- Support internal audits and customer quality reviews
- Perform other quality/engineering-related tasks as trained and requested
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credential
- 2+ years of on-the-job experience using D1.1 Code with structural steel
- Five (5) years of welding experience (preferred)
