• Schedule: Monday to Friday (Day shift), occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays to support plant production.
• Location: South Bend
• Travel: No travel required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to follow safety protocols.

• Must wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) such as FR pants, safety glasses, hard hat, safety‑toe boots, hearing protection, and gloves.
• Physically able to crouch, kneel, bend, walk long distances, lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and operate in confined spaces or on stairs/ladders/scaffolding.
• Must tolerate environments with dust, noise, uneven or slippery surfaces, outdoor conditions, heat/cold, and poor lighting.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning supplies safely.
• Demonstrated organizational competencies and ability to manage priorities under pressure.
• Previous experience in industrial cleaning or housekeeping.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the plant and facility, including production units, shared areas, and storage spaces.
• Assist in cleaning production units as directed by the production team, ensuring all equipment and surfaces are free from debris and contaminants.
• Perform common cleaning activities such as building cleaning, dryer yard cleaning, cyclones, wet cake pad cleaning, drums/totes, triple rinsing, labeling/capping, and inventory for disposal.
• Clean based on housekeeping assessments and self‑led inspections.
• Assist Maintenance Department in cleanup and job set‑up, as well as supporting operation tasks such as lockout‑tagout and equipment prep for maintenance.
• Dispose of waste materials following plant policies and environmental regulations.
• Perform routine inspections of plant areas to identify and address housekeeping issues promptly.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning supplies safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with the Production Team to schedule and prioritize cleaning tasks to minimize production disruption.
• Assist with pretreat operations, e.g., belt press operation, and participate in painting projects during outages.
• Operate forklift to assist with materials handling and scaffolding inspection.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
• Support plant operations as needed, including material handling and other production tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
