Description

Lebermuth Company is currently looking for a Blender - 3rd shift to join our manufacturing team. Summary

As the Blender, you will be responsible for creating product blends per customer orders and following established quality standards throughout the manufacturing process to ensure complete, on-time and error free processing, accurately pouring and pre-packing finished products, following established processes and quality standards in a complete, accurate, and timely way.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Retrieves ingredients, utilizing bar code scanning equipment, according to the established system for shelving and storage to ensure the correct materials are selected each time.
  • Utilizes industrial equipment such as powered forklifts, pallet jacks, and drum carts to locate and safely transport products within the warehouse.
  • Utilizes appropriate technological equipment to confirm product information, selects correct packaging supplies and ensures all required paperwork and labels are completed accurately and according to customer requirements.
  • Evaluates workspace equipment and racking regularly to ensure it is in good working condition and meets Lebermuth quality standards.
  • Inspect materials, products, and containers at each step of the manufacturing process and accurately label complete orders to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Measures, weighs, and blends ingredients utilizing tanks, hot plates, and other tools, ensuring customer specifications and processes are followed.
  • Complete pre-pack shop orders for stock-on-hand to guarantee timely fulfilment of customer orders.
  • F Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Lebermuth quality standards to ensure all tasks involving equipment such as hand trucks, drum carts or forklifts are performed in a safe manner.
  • Promotes a safe food culture by maintaining a clean and organized workspace, assisting with cleaning and sanitation throughout the production areas, and accurately completing Lebermuth required paperwork (i.e., equipment logs, regulatory documentation) to ensure the safe production and shipment of quality food products.

Requirements Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Experience: One-year-related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in manufacturing and/or food grade facility preferred.

Certifications: Ability to become forklift certified. Must successfully complete General Awareness Haz Mat training within 90 days of employment.

Functional

Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Basic understanding of percentages. Ability to recognize and follow alpha and numeric sequences. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization is sometimes limited. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written or oral form.

Technology Aptitude/

Skills:

Basic knowledge of computer and keyboard functions. Working knowledge of manufacturing, inventory control and order processing software.

Language

Skills:

Ability to communicate and receive information in both verbal and written formats. Ability to give and receive feedback in a professional manner. Ability to read and understand documents such as shop order tickets, safety rules, memos, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

Skills:
