Production Manager
Overview
LHH is seeking a Production Supervisor for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with an automotive manufacturing client located near South Bend, IN. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing team and to join an industry-leader in a unique manufacturing environment. In this role, you will manage a team of operators and hourly associates as you oversee the production-related activities within your designated area.
The compensation ranges between $70, per year and includes very affordable medical insurance options, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match.

Responsibilities- Lead all production staff, evaluate work orders, and create production schedules to meet customer demands
- Coordinate the activities of the production and fabrication staff and ensure that materials and products move smoothly through the facility
- Monitor and manage production schedules to meet deadlines and customer demands
- Confirm accurate stock levels of all raw materials before adding to production schedule and assign work duties
- Ensure all production work meets company standards and customer specifications
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve process-related stoppages, prevent production delays and/or backlogs, and eliminate recurrence of non-conformance issues
- Collaborate with other departments, including painting, assembly, and quality control, to ensure seamless production processes
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to maintain high standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to welding and fabrication processes
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and productivity
- Remain in compliance with Quality Assurance and Safety standards at all times
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience serving as a Production Supervisor within a manufacturing plant
- Must have 5+ years of manufacturing experience involving automotive, RV, commercial vehicles, and/or heavy equipment
- Previous experience and/or knowledge of ISO and/or quality standards is preferred
- Proven track record of implementing initiatives resulting in increased organizational efficiencies and profitable outcomes
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with customers, employees and fellow leadership, exemplifying professionalism and driving a culture of positivity and excellence
