Position: CNC Sliding Headstock Lathe Technician (AS9100 Aerospace)

If setting up a Citizen, Star, or Tsugami with confidence, solving chatter mid-run, and nailing first article inspections sounds like your ideal day, you’ll fit right in. We rely on an expert who can own Swiss-type setups and deliver consistent, tight-tolerance parts that pass aerospace scrutiny.

Your impact

Own complete setups on sliding headstock Swiss CNCs—guide bushing selection, tooling, bar feeder prep.

Load programs, establish offsets, verify setup integrity, and validate with FAI.Produce intricate components from bar stock with demanding tolerances and surface finishes.

Read complex blueprints and process docs; apply GD&T to hit form, fit, and function.

Run in-process and final inspections with precision measuring tools and document results.

Fine-tune offsets, tooling, and parameters to control dimensional variation and finish.

Troubleshoot tool wear and chatter and implement corrective actions.

Maintain 5S standards and comply with safety, AS9100, and company procedures.

Must-haves

High school diploma or GED.
3+ years on CNC Swiss equipment (Citizen, Star, Tsugami, or similar).Blueprint reading mastery and GD&T understanding.

Fanuc or equivalent CNC control experience.

Knowledge of bar-fed machining and guide bushing setups.

Experience with aerospace materials: titanium, Inconel, stainless steel, aluminum.

Nice-to-haves

Background in AS9100 or ISO-certified aerospace shops.

Comfort editing/optimizing G-code at the control.

Multi-axis Swiss and live tooling experience.

Familiarity with automated bar feeders and part catchers.

Working knowledge of first article inspection (FAI) processes.
